Dakota deja atrás la niñez. La actriz protagoniza «Very good girls», filme presentado en el Festival de Sundance en el que realiza su primer desnudo.

«Nunca he hecho esto antes y es muy reciente que se me permita hacerlo», dijo a MTV News en el Festival de cine de Sundance. «Yo acababa de cumplir 18 años, así que sí era una cosa delicada, pero es parte de la vida.»

A pesar de que la filmó cuando ya había cumplido 18 años de edad, la actriz se sintió avergonzada: “Nunca lo había hecho antes. Soy muy nueva en estas cuestiones. Estaba estrenando mis 18 años y (el desnudo) no fue fácil. Fue un poco vergonzoso”, dijo la protagonista de «La guerra de los mundos» «Hombre en llamas» y «Hounddog».

Hace dos años, Dakota se vio envuelta en un escándalo cuando apareció en la publicidad de un perfume que fue retirado en Gran Bretaña por considerarlo «sexualmente provocativo» e «inapropiado». En aquel entonces, la actriz apenas tenía 16 años.

Dakota Fanning is growing up and baring all in her new film “Very Good Girls.” The 18-year-old actress has her first nude scene ever in the film, which she stars in alongside Elizabeth Olsen and Boyd Holbrook.

“I’ve never done that before and I’m very newly allowed to do that,” she told MTV News at the Sundance Film Festival. “I was newly 18, so yeah, it was, it’s kind of a sensitive thing, but it’s a part of life.”

The film follows Fanning and Olsen on their quest to lose their virginity but their friendship is tested when they fall for the same guy. Fanning has a sex scene with Holbrook in the film.

“As in life, it’s not always so perfect and glossy and seamless,” Holbrook told MTV. “It’s quite awkward sometimes especially with that. This film’s about its going into life, first sexual experience, so it’s all about the environment and not taking it too serious.”

This isn’t Fanning’s first controversial role. She came under fire in 2007 for a dramatic rape scene in the film, “Hounddog.” Although there was no nudity or simulation of sexual acts, Fanning was 12-years-old at the time. Some critics and religious groups said she was too young to play a rape victim. Then too, she defended the film and the role, saying of the rape scene, “It’s not really happening. It’s a movie, and it’s called acting.”
