La actriz y varios miembros del equipo de su filme, In the Land of Blood and Honey («En la tierra de sangre y miel») recibieron graves intimidaciones tras presentar la película en Sarajevo el martes pasado

«Hay cosas que me dijeron a mí directamente y cosas que colgaron online», declaró Angelina Jolie al periódico británico The Guardian. Además, reveló que a un integrante del rodaje le rompieron la ventanilla del automóvil y que a otro le hackearon su cuenta de correo.

El periódico citado publicó que fuera de Sarajevo hay muchos cines que se están negando a poner la cinta basada en la guerra de Bosnia hace 20 años. Lo que más le molesta a la artista es que haya gente que esté censurando su trabajo «sin haberlo visto antes».

«No es mi seguridad lo que me preocupa: hay tanta hostilidad y tanta agresión que no sé si están preparados para ver la película», expresó durante una rueda de prensa. La BBC manifestó, el miércoles, que mientras el film fue muy bien recibido en Sarajevo, no pasó lo mismo en las áreas serbias del país.

Angelina Jolie is receiving death threats over her directorial debut In The Land of Blood and Honey. The film had its premiere in Sarajevo recently and Jolie spoke to The Guardian about the threats.
She said: There were things sent to me, there were things posted online. The cast . have never complained to me about these threats but I’ve heard through other people it was happening . one of them did have their windows smashed in on their cars and someone else had an issue when their phone was hacked and emails were sent out saying they were from them and saying they had been hurt.

The physical threats are not what most bothered me. It was more than that. With a film like this, you don’t want it to be used as a tool . especially in an election year, where people are deciding to label it without having seen it, and try to incite aggression and violence.’
