\u00abMi nombre es Rebeca y estoy aqu\u00ed para subastar mi virginidad\u00bb, dice mirando a c\u00e1mara. Luego se muestra andando en bicicleta y atendiendo a su madre. \u00abLlega un momento en que tienes que tomar decisiones. Para conseguir lo que quieres, tienes que ser fuerte\u00bb, agrega.<\/p>\n

Hasta el momento, Rebeca ha recibido tres ofertas, la m\u00e1s alta de 35.000 d\u00f3lares. El video tuvo 30.000 vistas el primer d\u00eda de su publicaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

La joven niega que el suyo sea un caso de prostituci\u00f3n. \u201cS\u00f3lo lo har\u00e9 una vez, para salvar a mi madre\u201d, explica. Cuenta incluso que antes de tomar la decisi\u00f3n intent\u00f3 con varios empleos, como camarera y vendedora de cosm\u00e9ticos, pero que el dinero no ha sido suficiente.<\/p>\n

Un vecino de la joven cuenta que la hermana mayor de Bernardo muri\u00f3 hace algunos a\u00f1os y que nunca conoci\u00f3 a su padre.<\/p>\n

Rebecca Bernardo, 18, of Sapeacu, Brazil, is attempting to sell her virginity to the highest bidder in hopes of raising enough money to cover health care costs for her ailing mother, who recently had a stroke, Gawker reported.<\/p>\n

It’s a move that proves that imitation — and fornication — are the sincerest forms of flattery, since Bernardo is following in the footsteps of fellow Brazilian Catarina Migliorini. Back in October, Migliorini allegedly sold the first rights to her vajayjay to a Japanese man named \u00abNatsu\u00bb via an online auction that received worldwide attention.<\/p>\n

Bernardo admitted being inspired by Migliorini’s efforts, but only after attempting other forms of employment, which she said barely covered the costs of a caretaker for her mother. \u00abThere comes a time when you have to make decisions to get what you want,\u00bb Bernardo told CNN. \u00abYou have to be strong.\u00bb<\/p>\n

Bernardo made a YouTube video offering her services in November, but, so far, she has not had the results that Migliorini did.<\/p>\n
