El guitarrista del grupo, Brian May, confirm\u00f3 que el frontman aparecer\u00e1 como \u201cuna ilusi\u00f3n \u00f3ptica en la presentaci\u00f3n especial del d\u00e9cimo aniversario del musical \u201cWe will Rock You\u201d.<\/p>\n

En entrevista con la BBC, May dijo que la presentaci\u00f3n de aniversario se realizar\u00e1 el 14 de mayo en el Dominion Theatre y la experiencia visual \u201cdejar\u00e1 a la audiencia pensando si en verdad vieron a Freddy\u201d. Sobre el holograma de Tupac, May opin\u00f3: \u201cEs un poco desafortunado que hayan hecho eso con Tupac, porque nosotros ya lo hab\u00edamos tratado desde hace mucho tiempo\u201d.<\/p>\n

Freddie Mercury ‘to appear’ in Queen show<\/p>\n

Queen guitarist Brian May has revealed that Freddie Mercury will \u00abappear\u00bb on stage during a special performance of West End musical We Will Rock You.<\/p>\n

He told the BBC that the production team had been working on ways to give the late singer a presence during its 10th anniversary show for some time. May stressed the new \u00abeffect\u00bb was not a hologram, calling it \u00aban optical illusion of sorts\u00bb. \u00abPeople will come out saying, ‘did we actually see Freddie?'\u00bb he added. The guitarist hinted the musical might employ a similar technique to the one used to make the late rapper Tupac Shakur perform on stage at the Coachella music festival last month.<\/p>\n

\u00abIt’s a little unfortunate they did that thing with Tupac as we’ve been trying to make Freddie appear on the stage for quite a while,\u00bb he said.\u00bb[That technique] is something we’ve looked at ourselves but I think probably for a show that runs eight shows a week it’s not really quite practical.\u00bb The special performance, on 14 May, will celebrate 10 years of the hit musical at London’s Dominion Theatre.
