Stewart, nacido en 1915, ha dedicado casi toda su vida a la vida acad\u00e9mica y su primer t\u00edtulo lo obtuvo a finales de los a\u00f1os 30. Entonces, los estudiantes \u201cse vest\u00edan con prendas m\u00e1s conservadoras\u201d, mientras que ahora la mayor\u00eda de los estudiantes parece que andan \u201cen ropa de vacaciones\u201d, dijo Stewart a la emisora local ABC.<\/p>\n

Stewart trabaj\u00f3 durante muchos a\u00f1os como dentista cuando decidi\u00f3 regresar a las aulas para estudiar la carrera de derecho, que culmin\u00f3 en 4 a\u00f1os y medio a la edad de 91.<\/p>\n

The Guinness world record for the oldest graduate was set by Allan Stewart (Australia, b. 7 March 1915) who received a Bachelor of Laws degree aged 91 years 214 days, when he graduated from the University of New England, New South Wales, Australia.<\/p>\n

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the oldest existing, and continually operating educational institution in the world, set by the University of Karueein, founded in 859 AD in Fez, Morocco.<\/p>\n

This is his fourth degree after completing dentistry in 1936. He went back to school in his 80s to keep himself mentally active. Dr Allan Stewart, born on March 7, 1915, is already the holder of the Guinness World Records title for being the oldest graduate after completing a law degree in 2006 at the age of 91.<\/p>\n

Mr Stewart says much has changed over the years, not least of all, the technology.
\n\u00abI realised I had to be reasonably literate with the computer,\u00bb he said. <\/p>\n

\u00abI was more or less self-taught but with experience I was able to handle that and I found that was the only way to do a university degree at my age.\u00bb The graduate has also noticed a distinct difference in the apparel of the students. <\/p>\n
