Megan Piper dijo a una estaci\u00f3n de TV: \u201cNo pensaba ir semidesnuda o nada por el estilo. Iba a ponerme un lindo vestido de graduaci\u00f3n\u201d. Agreg\u00f3 que estaba conmovida por el dulce gesto de Mike Stone (quien emiti\u00f3 miles de twits para conseguir que una actriz porno lo acompa\u00f1ara al baile) y que a su vez estaba cumpliendo su propio sue\u00f1o, ya que no tuvo la oportunidad de asistir a su propio baile de graduaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

En su comunicado la escuela dijo que la participaci\u00f3n de la estrella porno fue bloqueada ya que \u201cno es en el mejor inter\u00e9s de los estudiantes\u201d, y que \u201cperturbar\u00eda sustancialmente la operaci\u00f3n ordenada de las actividades escolares\u201d. <\/p>\n

Teen Can’t Bring Porn Stars to Minnesota Prom, School Says<\/p>\n

A Minnesota high school student’s plan to bring a porn star to his prom has been shot down by his school district.Mike Stone, 18, devised an ingenious ploy to turn himself into a legend at Tartan High School. The student sent out tweets to hundreds of porn actresses online, inviting them to be his date to his prom, USA Today reports.<\/p>\n

And not just one, but two actually replied back and accepted.Two adult film stars — Megan Piper and Emy Reyes — took Stone up on his offer. Stone, who has never been on a date, jumped at the chance to meet up with the two ladies.<\/p>\n

Even Stone’s mother was on board with the plan. Minnesota school district superintendent Patty Phillips, however, was less than enthused. She put the kibosh on Stone’s hot dates saying it would be \u00abinconsistent with two school district policies.\u00bb Courts have long ruled that students attending public schools don’t have the same level of protection as adults under the Constitution. Being a high school student, Stone’s case would likely be no different.<\/p>\n

Here, it’s arguable that Stone could make a First Amendment argument based on his freedom to associate with whomever he wanted. In essence he’d be saying that Phillips’ killing his porn star prom date plans was tantamount to violating the Constitution.<\/p>\n

He’d probably lose, of course. The U.S. Supreme Court has long ruled that public school administrators can restrict a student’s First Amendment rights if it’s necessary to keep school discipline in order. In this sense, Phillips was probably well within her authority as superintendent to stop Stone from bringing Piper and Reyes to his prom. Stone might still be able to take his dates out anyway.<\/p>\n

After hearing his story, people from across the country started to send money to the student to throw his own competing prom. Stone has gathered quite a fund so far and plans to hold his own event in a hotel a few blocks away from his school’s dance.
