Giovanni, que habia trabajado como mesero en el Titanic, y esperaba comenzar una nueva vida en Am\u00e9rica, fue una de las 1,517 personas que murieron en el desastre.<\/p>\n

\u00abAun sigo temblando, y estoy muy enojada cuando pienso en todo lo que ha pasado, tengo el coraz\u00f3n agitado\u00bb, dijo Capuana, que logr\u00f3 salir del barco con su prometido, su hermano y la novia de \u00e9ste.<\/p>\n

El \u00abTitanic\u00bb, un crucero brit\u00e1nico de la White Star Line, que era en aquel entonces el m\u00e1s grande del mundo y considerado insumergible, se hundi\u00f3 cerca de la costa de Terra Nova durante su viaje inaugural, despu\u00e9s de chocar con un iceberg, dejando mil 513 muertos y 711 supervivientes. <\/p>\n

El \u00abCosta Concordia\u00bb naufrag\u00f3 el pasado viernes con unas cuatro mil 229 personas a bordo, a pocos metros de distancia de la isla del Giglio, en el oeste de Italia. El \u00faltimo balance provisorio es de 11 muertos, unos 60 heridos y 29 desaparecidos.<\/p>\n

Cerca de 60 personas sufrieron lesiones al saltar del barco a los botes salvavidas o al agua helada.<\/p>\n

Cruise ship passenger says grandmother survived Titanic<\/p>\n

Valentina Capuano could not believe it when the luxury cruise ship she was on began to sink — she only hoped that she would be saved like her grandmother, who survived the Titanic disaster, 100 years ago.
\n\u00abIt was like re-living history, it was horrible, I was really shocked,\u00bb said Capuano, who managed to escape when the giant Costa Concordia hit a rock and tipped over off the northwest Italian coast on Friday.<\/p>\n

Her grandmother survived when the Titanic passenger liner sank on its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York in 1912. Her brother Giovanni did not.<\/p>\n

Giovanni, who had been working as a waiter on the Titanic and hoped to begin a new life in America, was one of the 1,517 people who died in the disaster.<\/p>\n

\u00abI am still shaken up and get very upset when I think about what I’ve been through, I have heart palpitations,\u00bb said Capuana, who escaped the sinking vessel along with her fiance, her brother and his girlfriend.<\/p>\n

A century after the Titanic struck an iceberg, the Concordia — which had over 3,000 passengers on board and around 1,000 crew — hit a rock which tore a huge hole in its side, leaving at least 11 dead and 29 missing.<\/p>\n
