En su sitio web, McCartney explic\u00f3 que el nombre de su nuevo \u00e1lbum sali\u00f3 de la letra de la primera canci\u00f3n de la producci\u00f3n \u00abI’m Gonna Sit Right Down And Write Myself A Letter\u00bb, que Fats Waller hizo famosa en 1935.<\/p>\n

El \u00e1lbum es descrito como \u00abun viaje muy personal a trav\u00e9s de composiciones cl\u00e1sicas de Am\u00e9rica que, en algunos casos, un joven Paul escuch\u00f3 a su padre tocar en un piano en casa\u00bb. En esta producci\u00f3n aparecen Diana Krall y su banda, as\u00ed como colaboraciones de Eric Clapton y Stevie Wonder.<\/p>\n

Ex-Beatle Paul McCartney has ended weeks of speculation in the music press and confirmed the title of his next album — ‘Kisses on the Bottom’.<\/p>\n

The record, to be released on February 6 and February 7, includes two new tracks called My Valentine and Only Our Hearts and a collection of standards McCartney grew up listening to as a child.<\/p>\n

The title prompted NME music magazine to issue a ’50 worst album titles in history’ list including REO Speedwagon’s ‘You Can Tune a Piano But You Can’t Tuna Fish; and Charlotte Church’s ‘Tissues And Issues’.<\/p>\n

On his website, McCartney explained that the name of his new album came from the lyrics of opening number ‘I’m Gonna Sit Right Down And Write Myself A Letter’ made famous by Fats Waller in 1935. song opens with the lines:<\/p>\n

\u00abI’m gonna sit right down and write myself a letter and make believe it came from you\u2014I’m gonna write words oh so sweet.They’re gonna knock me off of my feet. A lot of kisses on the bottom, I’ll be glad I got ‘em’.\u00bb<\/p>\n

The album is described as \u00aba deeply personal journey through classic American compositions that, in some cases, a young Paul first heard his father perform on piano at home.\u00bb<\/p>\n
